Donald Grenade #7
This exuberant work of pop art is inspired by the Disney character I identify with the most... Donald Duck. It represents his all-too-human moodiness and his tendency toward temper tantrums! The piece combines his iconic color scheme & costume with the geometry of the U.S.'s MKII grenade from WWII. Donald Duck has a history of being associated with United States war propaganda so it felt only natural to represent him in this way in my art.
Painted with brushes on custom shaped, 1/2" thick Russian birch ply panel which was cut by jigsaw & hand-sanded by the artist himself.
Each comes with a wire on the back ready for wall-hanging.
Signed and numbered on the back.
